    Hey Maimairel,

On the portfolio page, there is Older/Newer navigation in the top right corner.

I would much prefer to change this to Previous/Next for my purposes. I've been editing the file /helium/templates/portfolio/entry.php to change this, but of course, it gets overridden with every Helium update.

Can you please let me know if there's a way to change this built into the theme? If not, can I please request this for the next update? Finally, is editing entry.php the best way to manually update this for now?

    Thanks,
    K-Bomb

    Hi K-Bomb,

Actually, you can use a child theme then copy that file to exactly the same folder inside the child theme.

    So it should be child-theme-folder/templates/portfolio/entry.php

    Thanks :)

Do you mean, you want to change the text Older to Previous?

There is another way, you can use the translation files using poedit. But as the site will be in English, it doesn't make sense to translate it. So changing it inside a child theme is the best way.

    Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the 'child-theme' suggestion.

Is entry.php a file that is likely to change from update-to-update? I'm wondering whether having a copy of this file in the child theme will result in an outdated file in the future?

No, I'm sure it will never be updated unless it's a major one. But I don't know whether a major update will ever be released :)
It's safe to use it in your child theme.
